The Challenge
5G is fast—but speed alone doesn’t sell. Ericsson needed a compelling way to demonstrate how its 5G networks could enable entirely new business models. Whether it was live sports, mobile gaming, or next-gen media delivery, the goal was to turn technical potential into market-ready use cases that could be experienced, tested, and monetized.
The Solution: Interactive 5G Experiences
TENSION developed several immersive experiences tailored to different audiences:
5G Football Arena Demo:
A high-fidelity, interactive simulation that showcased the power of 5G in enhancing fan engagement, real-time data capture, and immersive viewing.
5G Futsal Event App:
Delivered live player data and event visualization in real-time, allowing fans and coaches to experience on-the-fly analytics via a 5G-enabled mobile app.
KT OmniView App (Winter Olympics):
Gave viewers unprecedented control of how they watched the action, with multiple camera angles, stats, and replays delivered instantly thanks to 5G.
Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 888 5G Showcase:
An interactive product demo visualizing the performance of Snapdragon’s 5G capabilities through a sleek, digital storytelling experience built in Unity.
The Result
Each of these showcases successfully converted 5G performance into tangible value for both B2B and B2C audiences. They demonstrated how carriers, sports organizations, and brands can monetize 5G through better user experiences, data-driven services, and real-time interactivity.
